第三届上海-亚洲平面设计双年展
大数据时代，设计界限的进一步模糊触发了平面设计师对自我多重身份的“再认知”，视觉传播者，策划人，文化研究者，媒体艺术家，信息骇客，计算机诗人，在角色更替变化中，在媒介技术的革新与消亡之间，平面设计正在进行着一次“再生”；随之而来的视觉设计观念，手法，生成样式，层出不穷,催生了从产业结构，图形创意到设计教育的变革。第三届上海亚洲平面设计双年展期望联合亚洲甚至更大范围的平面设计师和研究者，以视觉设计为源点，拥抱媒体科技不失批判精神；以“再生”为主要概念，对图形，视觉语言，信息符号的再造进行探索和讨论。我们希望“再生”不仅是一个视觉语言命题，它更是一次平面设计师对“自我认知”的契机。
In the age of Big Data, the design limits become vaguer so that it triggers graphic designers’ re-recognition for their multiple identities. During the switch among the identities and during the evolution and extinction of the media technology, the regeneration of graphic design is underway. The concept of graphic design and techniques catalysed the revolution from the industrial structure and graphic originality to education. The 3rd Shanghai Biennial of Asia graphic Design unites designers and investigators from all over the world to critically explore the regeneration of the graph, the language of vision and the information symbol. We hope regeneration is not only the theme of the language of vision, but also a chance for graphic designers’ self-recognition.
